Re: Any old VW fans???
My first car was a black 63 bug. Used to love to "race" corvettes on the interstate. With that said, it was no surprise that I got my first speeding ticket with my VW ... 80 in a 70 mph zone. Tought I could talk my way out of it by telling the patrolman that this bug wouldn't go 80 mph.

68 Squareback (AKA, "The stabin' Cabin") with a 2 liter stroker motor, when it wasn't on fire it was ON FIRE! I loved that car and used to run it at the Bug Ins at OCIR a half million years ago. I also had a 65 bus with the reduction gears stripped and and 1800, it was fun too.
Very nice project you have going!

Re: Any old VW fans???
Perhaps you meant 'any fans of old VWs?' Although he's young, my BIL has a VW Thing that he restored to all of its glory. Looks great! Just waiting for a ride in it.
