Drummer for Jimi Hendrix Dies
Mitch Mitchell, drummer for the legendary Jimi Hendrix Experience of the 1960s and the group's last surviving member, was found dead in his hotel room early Wednesday. He was 61.
He was a huge influence on my "style" of playing drums. I stole as many of his licks as i could copy. RIP.

Re: Drummer for Jimi Hendrix Dies
Lots of classic rock thru the years, like Hendrix, Stevie Ray, Allmans, etc, I've also done blues, country, pop, jazz/standards....almost anything for a gig! These days it's on Sunday mornings in a praise band -- which actually gives me a lot of good challenging stuff to play. (I sneak some chops from the old heroes for my own amusement on occasion....)
