Adrian's Habano Corona
I received this cigar, along with two others, from http://www.costaricacigarstore.com/ and promised to review them.
This was a nice looking corona sized cigar with a light brownish wrapper and a few veins. It was slightly "squishy" and it had a very pungent barnyard smell. It also a kind of sour smell I couldn't place. The label was brown with some red lettering on the bottom. It looked good against the lighter shade of brown of the cigar. This cigar has a 2000 Criollo wrapper. Pre draw: There was a taste of tobacco and a light pepper. First third: I did not detect any of the pepper from the pre draw. It was slightly sweet with some woodsy flavor and a little spice. Second Third: The sweetness went away and it was more of the wood taste mixed with leather and the spice remained in the background. Final Third: The cigar at this point continued with the same flavors until the end but it became much more full bodied. Thoughts: I liked this cigar even though it was very one dimensional to me.
