#49 Build - Curly Maple & Purple Heart Humidor
This is going to be a sweet little box....
My client wanted Curly Maple & Purple Heart..... She's going to be 10.25" x 8.75" x 4.5", a small little 58 count humidor. She will have a purple heart lid separator and a nice purple heart lid... trimmed in curly maple....

I love purple heart wood. Elder High School, my alma mater, has purple as their color and they bleed purple. I wish my Aristocrat was made of purple heart.

I'll be honest. Didn't know there was a Purple Heart wood but this looks like it has potential to be amazing!

Again... sort of a slow process in getting all of the wood milled down... but, she's coming along. It should look more like a box tomorrow.
This purple heart is pretty darn purple....

Purple heart is also fairly soft as I recall...very soft.
I had issues with my planer knives being too dull (fresh knives, had less than 100 board foot of light use on them!) so I had to get a new set. 200 bucks down the drain.

Just glued this one up today.... coming along nicely... Purple doesn't look as purple as before due to it be "saw dusty" from sanding.... it'll clean up real nice...
