Re: Accent quiz
"Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?"
I think it worked.

Re: Accent quiz
What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland "You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio. Yup, born and raised in Southeast Ohio |

Re: Accent quiz
LOL quite fun!
It said that I'm from the Midlands which is incorrect as I'm originally from Florida. However I did spend the better part of 2 years actively working on losing my southern accent so that could be the culprit. "You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying you don't have an accent." |

Re: Accent quiz
What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The West Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta. pretty much, and I am in fact originally from the "west" |

Re: Accent quiz
Inland north. Which is kinda odd since I've lived in almost all of the southern states my entire life.

Didn't do me very well, but us Floridians sometimes lack a noticeable regional dialect. All your northerners down here to retire have blended out the drawl :P

Re: Accent quiz
What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Inland North You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop." Result Breakdown: 100% The Inland North 80% The Midland 76% The Northeast 73% Philadelphia 65% The South 33% The West 19% Boston 15% North Central Quiz Created on GoTo Quiz So where the hell does Cleveland fit? If it's Inland North it got me right...although Cleveland is on one of the Great Lakes...

Re: Accent quiz
What American accent do you have?
Your Result: Philadelphia Your accent is as Philadelphian as a cheesesteak! If you're not from Philadelphia, then you're from someplace near there like south Jersey, Baltimore, or Wilmington. if you've ever journeyed to some far off place where people don't know that Philly has an accent, someone may have thought you talked a little weird even though they didn't have a clue what accent it was they heard. Result Breakdown: 100% Philadelphia 90% The Midland 78% The Inland North 77% The South 76% The Northeast 31% Boston 25% The West 8% North Central Quiz Created on GoTo Quiz

W(ho)TF talks like that? How do those two words rhyme?

Re: Accent quiz
It got me. It said Northeast "udging by how you talk you are probably from north Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island. Chances are, if you are from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak." Born and raised on Long Island so I would say it got me.
