I said that we never should have waterboarded anybody - just threaten to put cute, cuddly, little baby pigs in the cells with the detainees at Guantanemo.
They'd have sung like canaries.

Re: General John J. Pershing
Then PETA would have been all over us as truthfully, placing baby pigs in a cell with those scum would in fact constitute cruelty to animals - X's 2 (Cruelty to the pigs and cruelty the other animals with them in the cell).

Re: General John J. Pershing
Simple fact.
If we had the same "bleeding heart" America we have today, back in WW2, we would all be speaking German right now. I won't even go into the details of WW1 and the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. Think about the public reaction to 117,000 dead in three months time. (Pershing was a Division Commander during the Offensive). |

Re: General John J. Pershing
I heard a story one time that Teddy Roosevelt reacted to a muslim terrorist group that he captured by executing all but one placced them in a grave then put pig entrials and blood on the bodies before burying them. He then told the living terrorist to go tell his friends what will happen if you play about anymore...Not sure if this is truebut it sure as hellwould not be politically correct. That said, according to the story thier wasn't another terrois attack in many, many years.

I'd be happy if they attempted it today.
I believe it would have a peaceful effect on the entire world. Although to be fair I do seem to remember when Moscow had the theater incident a few years ago after the leader was killed he was buried in a pig carcass. Terror has not really stopped since that.

Re: General John J. Pershing
IMHO we will do better in combating this enemy when we keep in mind that they view this as a religious war. That is why the knicker-bomber tried blowing up that plane on Christmas day.
