Default J. Fuego 777 Corona

Just scored a box of these. I love almost all Nicarguan puros, as these are, but I got these sight unseen. Anyone enjoy these?

I like them a lot. Medium on the full side, pretty spicy in a white and red pepper way. All I've had were well made and had a nice draw. Good complexity.

When I saw them in the store I thought it was some kind of weird illusione rip-off (just from the name). From what I hear, they are pretty good.

I love how some get confused/accused of a "knock off" of a brand that came out AFTER them....

Really? So the 777 came out before the 888? I ain't trying to accuse, but I'm naturally confused.

Good stick. Not a wow stick by any means. But still a good solid stick.

Gee, I don't know, let me see how long Jesus Fuego has been doing cigars....

Oh wait...

Quote:
The Fuego family’s involvement with tobacco dates to 1876, and he has worked with numerous manufacturers. He’s often credited as the “mastermind” behind a number of Rocky Patel cigars, including the Vintage 1990 and 1992. Fuego went out on his own last year and introduced his eponymous cigars in December
And Don Giolito from Illusione was a fulltime Employee of TinderBox for 12 years....lovely, eh?

Oh but wait....

Quote:
....It was the following year that I decided to bring in a cigar that Pete Johnson had bought from Tabacalera Tropical to liquidate and make a couple of bucks on. I bought practically everything he had. When supplies dwindled, I asked him if he could get me more. 50 boxes were the minimum purchase. “F* me!” I thought.” Oh well, I’ll do it.” I had the cliché on the box changed to 88 – the year I decided to come to Reno.
I was a BIG fan at the time of the AVO ~22~ packaging. I designed my private label 88 to resemble that type of cliché
Did you CATCH THAT??

I had the cliché on the box changed to 88 – the year I decided to come to Reno.

So, RE-labeling someone else's cigar.....what's that called again???

Paul Palmer was the mastermind behind those cigars.

Now, in a "bizarre" twist of irony....

Quote:
Here’s where I delve into my faith a bit more. The name Jesus (IhsouV) adds up to 888 in Hebrew numerology called Gematria. Each letter is assigned the corresponding number. “Necessary and Sufficient” both describes the balance and profile of this cigar. It also represents to not go wanting, He is all I need, He is necessary and sufficient.
Draw your own conclusions.

I love the 777 Corona. It's a good lower priced stick at the shop too. I haven't tried the other sizes because of how much I liked the corona so far.

They are not a complex cigar in any way, but they are good. Don't expect many changes throughout the smoke...what you start with is what you get.
