Bob - I always carry my smokes on board. I never pack them in my checked bags. As long as you are not returning to the US from international travel, you should be just fine.
Opinions vary on the lighter and cutter. I usually pick up cheapies when I arrive.

Peter is wise(and old).
Always keep your smokes with you. Cutters are allowed but its up to the discretion of the TSA agent so better to check it with the baggage. Jet's are not allowed in carryon or checked baggage, so dont risk a good one. I checked a cheap torch my last trip without problems. |
