Default La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial #5

Date: 9/18/09

Cigar: La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial #5 (5.5 x 52)

Cost: $7.80

Drink: Coke

Appearance: There were no veins showing. The band is very classy. The appearance gets a 9/10

Pre-Light: It has a somewhat sweet taste to it..

Construction: Held a below average ash. The ash was pretty flaky. The draw was perfect. The cigar required a good amount of touchups.

Taste of the cigar: This cigar is very rich has a sweet cocoa taste to it. It also has some spice to it.

Strength: This is a medium-full bodied cigar.

Summary: This cigar pretty good. I might buy these again. Toward the end, it got pretty bitter and burned hot. I loved the richness of this cigar though. I give it a 7/10.

Nice Review on a Quality Stick, Dan! Never had a bitter taste on the 2 I've smoked, though. Hopefully a rare occurence!

Thanks for the review Dan. I haven't had this cigar in this size yet. The corona is a very good smoke, one of my favorite DPG's with the My Father a close second or first depending on the day.

I wonder if the size and shape contributed to the harsh ending?

They are not like most other DPG smokes I have had. When you want a peppery punch in the mouth, I wouldn't recommend them.

(That's a darned good price too)

Good review Dan. I have had the Robusto Vitola and had what appears to be a bit better experience. Maybe try another!

Nice review and pics, Dan! Although I've never smoked one of these, the bitterness thing does seem a bit odd I agree. Maybe a bit off in terms of rH, or maybe just really young?

Or were you huffing on that thing like Monica Lewinsky?

Oh Jeez, tell me you weren't wearing your blue dress Dan, please. That thing is 4 sizes to small.
