I am old enough to *just* remember the Cronkite era (maybe three-four years' worth).
It was only in later years that I learned about how he "spun" Vietnam...but I'll put that aside for now.

Myself being born in 1953 I have a great respect & sense of gratitude for his body of work. He was man of great integrity.
I know he will rest in peace with the other news casters from my youth Chet Huntley & David Brinkley. |

I missed him the day he stepped down, and I was a kid.
It's never been the same since. The very last place I'd ever look for the truth about anything nowadays is on the news. He was a good man.
