Default Same Smokes?

It just struck me that I never smoked the same cigar back to back. Same size, shape, wrapper, etc.

Seems kind of odd, after smoking multiple sticks many times.

Anyone else this way?

If you have smoked two in a row what cigar was it?

I have done it a couple of times. I don't by boxes though so I don't usually have a stock of the same cigar on hand.

I have a couple of times. Sometimes, when it's that good and you don't want it to end, you just gotta have another.

Nope. I'm still trying to go through "one of each" before I settle on my favorite, then that's all I'll smoke.

Natch this will never happen, but I have such a variety in my coolerdors that I never feel the want to smoke the same cigar twice in a row.

Great question and comment John!

I personally think it is a very GOOD idea to smoke the same type of cigar back to back as it allows you to pick up on all the different flavours and inconsistencies in the cigar.

I recently smoked two Montecristo #4's in a row and I really enjoyed the experience.

When recently on holiday I smoked a PSD4 for several days in a row. But tasting the same cigar each day I really could identify all the flavours the cigar had to offer.

I cannot think of a time I ever have. I enjoy variety, but I may have to give it a whirl to see if it allows me to pick up on anything I might have missed previously.

I have done it several times...reasons why I have done it include: comparing different wrapper colors from the same cigar, year, etc just from a different cab...and sometimes a cigar is just so damn good that I have to have another one...

Never even considered smoking the same vitola in sequence. I just keep ramping it up as I go along. Could be an interesting experiment someday.
But not tonight.

In the last few weeks I have smoked either a Tampa Sweetheart #500 Maduro, or a Short Story back to back. Back to back to back even.

Haven't done it yet mainly because I like to change things up when I smoke multiple cigars. Might have to give it a try though.

I smoked a Party Short back to back once. It was such a great smoke I couldn't stop with one.

No way I could smoke the same stick back to back, heck now that I think about it no way I can smoke the same cigar in one day. I have my favorite stogies but there are just soo many things out there to try.

When I first started smoking cigars I would go to the B&M and purchase a bunch of singles to try. When I found one I really liked I would buy a box and smoke them exclusively until I grew tired of them or ran out. Took me some time before I fell off the cliff and started buying more than I could smoke within a given time period. Now I have so many different ones I like that I never smoke them back to back anymore.
