Re: Nascar @ Phoenix 4/18/09
I have a gut feeling that Jr. might do something or Tony.

Re: Nascar @ Phoenix 4/18/09
I hated him in the 6 car, but now he's one of the old ones out there, I'm pulling for him.

Re: Nascar @ Phoenix 4/18/09
The main reason I didn't like him is b/c he came down and dominated the Busch races. I think the good Cup drivers should not be allowed to race in the Busch (now Nationwide) series.

I see both sides of it. I mean, it would be nice to see the non-Sprint Cup guys win a race, but on the other hand, not as many people would show up for the races.

Not as many would show up at first, but after a few names are established, then tickets will sell. Besides, a lot of people just buy package race weekend tickets anyways.

Re: Nascar @ Phoenix 4/18/09
I still wish NASCAR would start up another league (Southern League) and run all of the old tracks down South that aren't used by NASCAR anymore. N. Wilkesboro, Hickory, Old Nashville Fairgrounds, Rockingham, another Darlington event, a Bristol, Richmond, and Martinsville event.
I think this could be a big money maker if marketed right.

Re: Nascar @ Phoenix 4/18/09
NASCAR has lost a lot of its core fan base over the last 10+ years. This might appease a lot of us rednecks.

Cali hasn't been drawing like they thought it would. Take away an event. Pocono can be boring but it is unique. I kinda like Pocono and love the road courses (but glad there are only two)
