Default Cigars in sports

We've all seen the special celebrations in sports - the ones that are followed with a nice cigar to the champion. Then, we have the game of golf. One of the things I like about golf...you don't have to be winning, only participating, to enjoy a tasty smoke. They go hand in hand. Today, I enjoyed a practice round at The Masters. There were cigar smells in every corner of the course. I found it a treat to see how many different marcas were being enjoyed by the patrons. I few...well let's just say, I wouldn't have brought them all that way to carry around. I did see some of my favories, though. I also witnessed a candid moment featuring Miguel Angel Jimenez. Being from Spain, he probably brings his own smokes with him and from the looks of it, he had one of he better smokes on the course today. You gotta love golf!

I am so jealous! I moved from Augusta in 2000 and I really miss it this time of year. Glad you got to enjoy the par three... what a fun time!

Cigars and Golf are all I never need to have a good time. I wish I was still able to smoke in the ballparks here. I love watching baseball and having a good one too!

Yep. You thought I was just going to walk around and look good, Gerard? I ended up with 236 pictures, out of which about 150 were keepers.

Every time I see the masters on tv or any other major championship I am just jealous of all the people that are there! You are very lucky to be there and get to see all the events. And to top it off see a great European pro smoking a great cigar makes it even better.

I would love to go sometime, but no luck in the lottery draw. I have put in for the masters, and the Ryder cup, but nothing so far. My Step-Dad has gone a few times, but no luck for him in the draw either.

Looks like Jimenez has good taste in cigars. He also has the advantage of buying them at home.

Plus, he could probably care less what they cost.

Nice smoke. I enjoy golf even if I can't hit the ball straight. After a few stiff drinks I relax and hit my 7 iron pretty straight. Smoking a stogie on the course always beats a day smoking in my garage.
