Re: Raiders Fans - Check in
Big game coming up today! I think the game will be decided by less than seven but with Raiders winning. If we had our offensive pieces in place (DMC, TJones, Ford, & Moore) we would be unstoppable. Yet this is the NFL and all teams deal with injuries.
On a side note, wow looking at my first post in this thread, glad that didn't turn out!!!

Re: Raiders Fans - Check in
Very weak performance from all areas of the entire team! Also back to "way to many penalties". Stupid actions from a veteran like Seymore, getting ejected mid way thru for throwing a punch. Poor game plan for that game. Reese was doninant in last weeks game. This week they didnt even call his number until the last 5 minutes of the game and he made 2 huge plays??
Plamer was spot-on the first half, his receivers just kept dropping everything!! After that he got a little frazzled and started throwing behind receivers. Gotta give it to the Miami Defense. They came prepared and shut down our run completely and defended the backfield well. Overall performance: Offensive line = Weak Receivers = Weak Defense = Weak Special Teams = Weak

Raider implosion again at the end of the season
I will be hoping for at least one more good game out of them as I will be sitting in Arrowhead this Saturday. |

Re: Raiders Fans - Check in
We had front row seats in the Black Hole. It was a great game......until we ran a Prevent Defense and let them go 99 yards in the last 3 min.
We needed one more good push out of the D and they just couldnt get it done. Bummer. They better be good-n-pissed for San Diego and K.C.

Re: Raiders Fans - Check in
So 8-8 not bad but not great. Looking back there are games they should have won and let go - Buffalo, Detroit and Denver ... it would have been nice to make the playoffs but this team was not all there this year.
Biggest disappointment of the season goes to McFadden. Great player but he has to actually play a season to be valuable to the team. We could have used him. Bush is good but McFadden can change a game. Off season moves: I am guessing they will trade Campbell, I would like to see them shop for a pair of corners and trade McFadden. Surprise of the season Heyward-Bey - only took 3 years but he is performing well and catching the ball Moore was also a great introduction and one of Palmer's favorite targets. Palmer was a wash for the season but really it was hard to say he could walk into a team in the middle of the season without playing the first half of the season at all and do great. Maybe next year ... |

Maybe I should put that on some cards to hand out to my friends ...
You're right about them not being all there this year. Nevertheless, it would have been nice to at least see them make the playoffs. It would have felt like ... well ... progress. |

Re: Raiders Fans - Check in
Dennis Allen (Broncos defensive coordinator) hired as the Raiders new head coach.
I don't know much about him other than Denver did have a solid defense this year while we did not. As always the number of Ws will determine whether this was a good move or if the ghost of Uncle Al struck from beyond. |

Re: Raiders Fans - Check in
I have a shamefull confession to make. I was a Raiders fan when I was a kid, then when they moved to Oakland I was pissed and changed teams and never looked back. While I am not proud of my unloyalty to the Raiders, I was young and am now super loyal to my Redskins. I will always be a Dodgers fan though.

Another year beginning and I don't get a real good feeling leading into it for the boys in black. I am hoping to be surprised but not counting on it.
Looking forward to seeing them beat the bolts tomorrow night though |

Re: Raiders Fans - Check in
Great comeback for the Raiders. Finally looked confident, organized and executed pretty well. Glad to see the penalties way down. Thats a great start right there. Good to see the special teams finally step up, they pretty much stunk that first 2 games.
Big bummer about DHB! Cant believe that hit didnt even get a flag. These replacement Ref's totally blow. This makes it interesting heading to Denver next week.
