Nice guys. I'm moving my way through the Blue Moon Sampler tonight. Had the Carmel apple spiced ale, then a harvest pumpkin Ale.. Now it's time for the standard blue moon, a belgian white...

Had a yingling ocktoberfest today... not bad... tastes like a watered down Sam Adams ocktoberfest and was likewise priced... No complaints here...

That beer is fantastic. Don't see it distrbuted in Indiana so I can't pick it up at home. But I am on the road half the month and pick up all I need in Chicago or California.
Enjoying New Belgium's "Red Hoptober". Not nearly as "hoppy" as Ranger but still has a nice hoppy zing to it. Balanced and smooth.

Picked up a bottle of Rogue Double Chocolate Stout. Looking forward to cracking it open tonight after work.

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?
One of the great things about where I live is that I have a fantastic German brewery (Sudwerk) almost literally down the street. Even better is that their regular beers are very accurate to the German styles, unlike a lot of so called German breweries in the US, and they have some incredibly creative brewers who like to brew up lots of half-barrels of experimental beers in every style imaginable (we get 2-3 new beers a week there on the average). Unfortunately, because of this, I don't bother to get out to other breweries that often or even buy that many bottles when I have something that damn good and that I like that much in walking distance.
But sometimes opportunity comes around... Since I was in Vegas for a few days, I managed to sneak out to Triple 7 Brewery and sampled all 8 of the brews they had available. All of them were very nice, the IPA and Red Ale weren't very aggressively hopped but they worked well, the Saison and the Porter (on nitrogen) were the standouts to me. Grabbed these four bottles from two other craft breweries in the area on my way out of town and they all have to die today since I can't take them back with me (gee, bummer). |

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?
I was grousing about not getting Lagunitas in Indiana and happened upon this website for folks in the Upper Midwest - specifically IN:
http://brewersofindianaguild.com/about At random I chose Three Floyds (close to Chicago in Muenster IN): http://www.3floyds.com/ I specifically looked for their 'Dreadnaught' Imperial IPA and absolutely loved it. I am not a big beer hound but every once in awhile I get into a beer phase. I might start looking around for more midwest brewed beers. I know Bells Brewery up in Kalamazoo, MI puts out some great brews - 'Two-hearted Ale' comes to mind immediately.
