Re: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2
Are you on a wireless or wired connection?

Re: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2
Just picked up the game Saturday. Finally put it in the xbox tonight.
Played for a few minutes, and got drawn off. It looks beautiful. Can't wait to play it.

Re: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2
Something weird happened with my game today. Was on playing during my lunch break, leveled up to a 66 in the process, got a few titles and emblems. But when I was back on later it didn't register any of my progress, titles were gone, emblems gone, kills were reset, and I was back down to a 65. Never happened to me before in any of the other CoDs, anyone else had this problem?

Re: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2
I have had problems with the lag in the game too. I've heard that they do not have a dedicated server for this one and that could be leading to a lot of the online play problems. Try to wire it up and see if it helps.

phew.. i thought I was the only one having issues... I'm assuming the servers just finally go overloaded because it just happened... wiring it up is gonna require about a 100ft. cable.. i have a long one, time to see if it'll do the job.

My problems with the wireless connection started with Gears of War:I and when I wired it it got better. All I ever play is first-person-shooters, so I hate lag.

Re: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2
did a little more exploring.. when i test the network status I get a gree 3/4 bars which is enough to be ok... However.. i was in a game and let it run to the end and it only then shows 1 red bar... not sure why the difference.

I've been sticking with a bling'd out SCAR w/ RDS and silencer, steady aim and stopping power. That's what I use most of the time and works well for run 'n gun and long range too.
I want to get the akimbo 1887s. Looks like fun or a Terminator T-1000 chasing a car. |

Those things are a beast, really overpowered imo. Just unlocked the AK, liking it so far but not as much as the ACR. Think i'm gonna start trying to use the riot shield seriously, one of my live friends has been using it regularly and is a beast with it.

Re: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2
Ive been in a knifing mood tonight so i made a knife class.
UMP G-18 Marathon Pro Lightweight Pro Commando Pro And have a carepackage killstreak because once you get 4 kills you can pull out the carepackage smoke (like pistols on the original MW) it makes you run just a little bit faster. Hahaha it was so much fun 48-18. I know its know a great ratio, but pretty good for not firing a bullet. (Also earlier tonight i gave the javelin bug a shot..... dang... good thing that is getting fixed b/c that explosion is ridiculous) |

Re: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2
I like using the riot shield on headquarters. It works best on the sub map b/c you can get into a doorway and block all the bullets while your team mates get the HQ

Re: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2
Yep, I was messing around with it last night. Riot shield, lightweight, marathon, martydom, stun nades, tmp w/extended mags, and throwing knife. Block the window/door, move back when they try to knife you, chuck throwing knife into face, bash if necessary, use tmp on mid range flankers, and repeat

Re: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2
so until today, I've been using the nuke when I first get it, because it was so exciting and all the adrenaline getting those last couple kills...but after today I started waiting until the very last minute to use it, just for those extra kills...is that too mean?

What do you all primarily use as a secondary weapon?
Right now I am using a GLOCK 18. I do have one class where I have a stinger to shoot down the damn choppers. Posted via Mobile Device |
