Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
The Savard incident was a blind side head shot issued by a known cheap shot artist, not the same thing.

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
I meant showing some damn respect for the injured player. You know the guy who could have been paralyzed and whos carrer may be over? Not posting video clips trying to say well he has boarded someone so whats the big deal hes not an angel etc. Its about showing some compassion. The same you would expect for Savard. This appears to have been a complex request for some as you actually had to read the post.
As to Savard hit, Cooke is a POS certainly, but at the time of the hit it was 100% legal. Some people think this was every bit as dirty and even worse showing a disregard for fellow players safety. Now understanding this would require an open mind so it may be lost on some. Edit: Have talked at the rink with some of the guys. Opinion os pretty split. I see the hockey play argument, no ones arguing that. Some of us just think that arm pushing the head and the history looks like he knew and had intent Last edited by Ahbroody; 03-10-2011 at 05:05 PM. |

OK, Boys, let's keep it civil, we can disagree and still not take each other's heads off.

*EDIT* Looks like I am a little late with this...but here is the article
Montreal police started a criminal investigation Thursday into the on-ice hit by Boston's Zdeno Chara that left the Canadiens' Max Pacioretty with a severe concussion and cracked vertebra. http://msn.foxsports.com/nhl/story/P...o-Chara-031011 Come on....really? Just found that yahoo stream Versus games. Us IP required which is probably never noticed before.
Watching the Bruins-Sabres game right now. Been a pretty good game so far except for a phantom boarding call on Chara. Nucks @ Sharks is up later tonight, should be a good one! |

I have lots of friends in Canada, so this is not meant for the 99.9% of normal people there...but there must be some real boobs in Montreal, calling 911.

As for the Sharks Canucks. Thinking the Sharks wont catch the Wings tonight. The Canucks are playing better Sharks I think are still down Boyle and they played bad the other night. If they come out like that tonight they could be down 0-3 after one. Yes Tom. That was laser show though. Edit Ooo and there French remember that explains a lot no? |

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
Sad I sold my tickets to tonights game. That was one of the best if not the best game played at the tank this year. Its just to damn hard to go this much with little kids.
Are the Redwings hearing the jaws theme? Theyre coming looks like the Blackhawks are also. Could they fall to 4th or 5th and face the Yotes again? This is getting gooooooood. I guess the Hawks wont be golfing like you thought they might. Tom I took Micah on tuesday was great fun hes making it the whole game now. Little man had everyone around us laughing with his expert opinions. He still thinks they need to camp the net like he does cause thats how you get goals. |

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
I wish I could see Micah play.....hopefully someday.
I no longer think the Hawks will be golfing...actually I think if Crawford keeps playing the way he has, they have a good a shot as anyone in the West. Maybe there are a couple of lines as good as Toews/Kane/Sharp right now, but I doubt there is one better. Sharks look really good, Wings are always in it, Canucks have so many weapons (and one Achilles heel, hopefully), and a few other teams are right in the mix. I know I will be missing Bif Buff if the Hawks catch Luongo sometime in the Spring.
