Re: Asylum edition/club pipe interest thread
Thanks for all the effort, your time really is appreciated and I agree that Boswell seems like a good choice in the end.

Re: Asylum edition/club pipe interest thread
I may be in for this depending on final price and style. I should be good for around $100 and would prefer and apple or brandy with a quarter bend, not sandblasted

Re: Asylum edition/club pipe interest thread
lol, listen to the FNG coming in here being all picky.
I'm an easy guy to please, but think I would smoke a pipe much more often if it was a sitter personally. I hate trying to smoke outside and finding a place to sit it down if I step away from my chair. |

Re: Asylum edition/club pipe interest thread
Obviously?
1. Women 2. Sex 3. Pipes/Cigars 4. Booze 5. Family 6. School This means after he thinks about women and has sex he will handle the CA pipe. Then have a drink with the family. After all that then comes school

Re: Asylum edition/club pipe interest thread
ooook, I finally called, spoke with JM for about 10 minutes
here's what we need to do. decide on a definite shape, and I will post up a few of his pipes to vote on, majority will rule (will be poker and apple choices). decide on an abbreviation for the pipes (ie C.A.P.F or somesuch). he will have every pipe dated the day made (as he does with every pipe). Also, the pipes will have the initials of the purchaser on them. so we will all have a unique pipe in that sense. he said he would be willing to make up to 25 (and if necessary could make a few more later as needed). so once it's all decided we can do a first come first serve sign up, and go from there. So it may be in the interest of those who smoke pipes regularly to keep an eye on this. some will be smooth and some rusticated (we'll have that as a part of the vote to figure out how many of each) additionally, he said once it's all settled and he has a shape to start working on, it'll take a few weeks to get them all made, but they will ship out as completed. they won't be identical, but they will all be the same shape. I think it will be nice to let JM do his thing and be creative within the confines of the shape. Lastly, figure a poker shape to run in the neighborhood of $100 bucks, and an apple to probably be 85-ish. ok, I'll work on a new thread with pictures to vote on, and we'll hammer out the details there. Feel free to voice questions or concerns here |

Re: Asylum edition/club pipe interest thread
I live in Europe, so I'll have to find a way to make the payment for the pipe. My wife's parents live in the US, but they are quite old and donīt speak perfect english.
Could someone be so kind to ask the Boswells their internacional bank account number (IBAN) so that when the time comes I could transfer the money directly to them? Thanks. |

Re: Asylum edition/club pipe interest thread
I know I just found this but I would be interested for sure if this hasnt filled up yet. I am still new to pipe smoking so I am not real set on any shape or finish although my girlfriend prefers my smooth finished pipes.

Re: Asylum edition/club pipe interest thread
I just got back to this forum recently after a few months hiatus from the internet. I hope I'm not too late to join in the festivities! I'm interested - but I'll wait to see the example pics (and my money status at that time) to say for sure.

Traveler,
It has all been decided already. There probably is still time to get in on it. Here is the order thread: http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=16150 Here was the winning pipe: Pipe number 4 with a medium bowl http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showpo...04&postcount=1 |
