Good Bundle Smokes - but that said they need a nice long rest before they reach that point. Experience finds that 6 months to a year is good for them.

Got my Nic 3000s (one of the perks of being in NY: 1 day ground shipping from Famous, CI, and Holt's). They smell great, and I was suprised to find a couple of free Tabak Especial Negras in the box. No mention of this when I placed the order. Free cigars are cool.

I scored a great deal on Indian Tabac SF Maduros a month or so ago on the monster. I think they came out to about 3 bucks a piece for 6 x 50's, and boy are they smoking great.

Current CI catalog has 20 of the SF maddie toros for $39.99, and you can add a 5er of the natural robustos for another buck.

The catalog expires on Friday for some reason, so I'm gonna jump on it if I have any cash left after V-Day shopping. These are one of my golf sticks, and if I get them now, they'll be smoking great come golf season.

I don't think I have had but one IT that I didn't care much for. That was the Classic (I think) it's a corojo if I remember correctly, and I didn't care for corojo early on, but have found that maybe I do like them now. So maybe soon I will try another one and see if I do indeed like it now.

Excel,
Can't say I'd ever had the TB Sf's but after looking at the prices I would say more than likely the Fumadores would win, especially at 30 bucks a bundle compared to 135-145 prices for the TB SF's on CI.

Forgot to add that out of the box these are ok but these cigars shine after 3 months or so rest.

put me in with the RP vintage 2nds fans. I'm a 1990 guy myself. the PCs are my perfect go to quick smoke. I bought a box of 1990 PCs for cheap on cbid, and plan on just refilling it with 2nds. they aren't as pretty but they taste great, and are constantly up on cbid.

If you haven't tried Por Larranaga Panetelas($50.00) or Rafael Gonzalez Panetelas Extras($40.00), I really suggest you do. They are all handmade short filler, from their other cigars. They are a great everyday 45 minute smoke, maybe more depending on how quick you smoke. The construction on some of them suck along with a bad draw on a couple out of the box, but besides that they are worth every penny and more IMHO, I would probably actually pay x2 of what they cost...you will not be disappointed I guarantee you.......

no they def not be from the tat brown line, if they were it would be a tat cigar(like the serie p), this is a dpg cigar, so it would be from his stuff. I would def be interested in knowing how these taste. please do a review when you get them in!

Ive been smoking some Flor de Olivas that I got last summer. I must say....they have completely changed. The first couple that I smoked when I got them were terrible. Now after a little rest they are smoking and tasting great. I might have to get another bundle and put it down for a nap while Im still working on the current one.

I don't smoke real expensive cigars, the taste is the comfort thing for me. My high ends are Oliva V's and Masterblends. I love bundle/less expensive smokes that taste great such as Perdomo2 Mistakes in maduro, these are the original Perdomo2 at a lower price than I can buy the new Perdomo2 which I also love. Another great bundle smoke is the El Cobre, strong with a distinct yet classic Oliva flavor and the smell will keep people from bothering you. I have also found Omar Ortez Originals at Cigar Place in 20 cigar bundles. As far as seconds, love the Rocky Vintage 1992's when I can find them and any of the Rocky unlabeled seconds from Cigars International, all 4 varities are quite good. The Famous Nic 3000's are also worth keeping in stock.

I've smoked three value cigars. In descending order, Mayorga Maduro Torpedo, Nica Libre and Flor de Oliva. I've smoked three or four boxes of the Mayorga. I love them! To me they compete quite well with more expensive Nicaraguan cigars. @ ~$60.00 for a box of 20, compare to $150.00 to $200.00/box.

I dug this thread up from the cellar, and thought it was very interesting, well worth reading for those who have to buy their cigars on a budget. However, some of the cigars no longer seem to be available (Taboo Value Blend & LHO's from Holt's, for example). I have 2 questions:

1) Can you recommend a nice bundle/second/overrun medium bodied cigar with a Connecticut wrapper for me? My wife enjoys an occasional cigar and this would work for her.

2) Are there other worthy bundles/seconds/overrun cigars that have come out since 2009 when this thread began? Any new surpises that you've discovered?

I haven't had one in about 5 years, but if I remember right the Flor De Oliva Gold was a decent stick. I prefer their maduros.

Good bundles seem to be getting harder to find. I've been trolling the devil site far to much lately trying to satisfy my value cigar ich, with little success.
