Re: What cigar did you smoke today III?
It started light with very little Partagas flavor, that I could detect. However it appeared that every draw brought me more and more potent flavors. When I neared the half way mark I really really was enjoying this smoke.
When I rounded te final third it got a little hot but much more flavorful and a lot stronger than the beginning. At the end of the day, this was a really great cigar with a slow start.

Re: What cigar did you smoke today III?
Getting cold in the DC area so had to head into the garage. My first Dirty Rat, and man what a great cigar. I got them when they first came out in mid September and had them resting. Glad I did because if I had one right away I would of bought a lot more then just a box. This is an awesome cigar.

Oliva G bellicoso with a couple cups of sumatra harimau tiger french roast. Good cigar but I realize now a torano exodus 59 or an olvia v would have been a better choice with the dark roast.

Re: What cigar did you smoke today III?
Ambrosia by Drew Estate-kaya flavored. I stopped at the local B&M and bought a few cigars with my son on way out hunting , I lit up the Ambrosia on drive out there and was still smoking it walking to the 2 man stand. It smoked great, tasted good and even had a yummy spicy bite at end that made me smoke it down to thumb/index finger burnin size. Only complaint was the already small size they come in. and as my son put it dad your cigar doesn't stink it smells good and flowery. While me an him were freezing in the windy chill we seen 5 turkeys and 4 deer. either the smell brought them or its rut season.

Re: What cigar did you smoke today III?
Nestor Plasencia 2004 Robusto natural... I dont think they make them anymore, but, they are a darn good smoke if aged for awhile. If you have any around and they are aging, give it a try. You will be surprised at the smoothness, creaminess, amounts of smoke, and great burn. Enjoyed this one immensely!

Re: What cigar did you smoke today III?
last night, '99 Cohiba Lancero
and now an '04 Party Presidente both are good, but also kinda average and bland. I think I will probably move towards primarily buying fresh smokes again. Aged cigars are just such a gamble. also, "Miami Knuckle" made me laugh. great name. |
