Re: Whats you 100 point cigar?
No question about it: Cohiba Gran Reserva!
Now if you are asking about an affordable 100 point cigar, then I would go with Padron 45th Anniversary Maduro or a Padron 80th Anniversary Maduro.

Re: Whats you 100 point cigar?
I haven't tried many cigars, since my local shop doesn't have EVERY brand and I usually can't afford the quantities to make buying online worthwhile, but out of the ones I've had so far, the closest I've had to perfect are the Padron 64 Maduro and the Tatuaje Havana VI. I like the Oliva V, but if I can get either of the others, I do. I also had a box of Cain Habano 550's, and out of the whole box, there were like 3 - 5 actually good ones that could've easily gotten a 98, but the rest were 90's or high 80's

Padron 64 or a Fuente Hemingway(wrapper really doesn't matter, though the maduro has maybe a slight edge over the natural). I don't think its possible for there to be a bad cigar from either line.

Re: Whats you 100 point cigar?
first the story:in '02(my last day in cuba) poked around the lcdh for 3/4 of an hour with nothing catching my eye.just about gave in to my fallback choix(erdm grandes d espana). i then spotted 4 boxes of bolivar coronas from '98 and without a second thought got em. smoked a box in '03 '04 and '05. the last one remains sealed and deeply buried somewhere.
now the review:to this day they are still the best cigars i have ever smoked...every box was "the best cigars i have smoked"...they will remain my 100 point cigars untill someday something better comes along. derrek

Re: Whats you 100 point cigar?
I have never had a 100 point cigar and in a way hope I never do. I would want to smoke them exclusively and probably couldn't afford 'em!!!

Great year for those smokes. Hopefully by the time you break into that last box something will come along to take its place. I don't have a 100 point cigar either but as far as smokes that have consistently performed at a high level for me, it would have to be the '04 crop of VR Farmies. Those were fantastic and perfectly suited for my tastes. I can't even recall how many bundles I smoked through in '05 and '06 but it was a lot. |

Re: Whats you 100 point cigar?
It is fascinating to see the wide selection here, a few that I have not tried but will one day like the 1492 and the 777 that is so highly touted by the Admiral and Nino.
As I look back I can not think of a 100 point cigar really however if you take into account the where and with whom I can easily say the '26 Belli I enjoyed with some friends in Cuzco, Peru and the '99 Lancero I had one night in Trinidad with a buddy were definately 100 point experiences. Re: Whats you 100 point cigar?
I had a dusty old White Owl once that was pretty amazing. Don't really know if it was the cigar, the age (older than me and that's old. Not a old as Sailor but old) or the fact that a brother here thought enough of me to give me one.
I'll never find a 100 pt cigar cuz I have the taste buds of a goat. All I know is when I fire one up and something inside makes me think, damn, that's a nice smoke! It's all good by me. |

Re: Whats you 100 point cigar?
Padron 1964 Imperial Maduro. Padron 45th Maduro is on that list as well.
I love those cigars, if I could afford it I'd smoke them everyday. Has anyone else noticed that a lot of vendors are out of various sizes of the 1964? Wonder if there is a shortage of them, or vendors just aren't stocking boxes anymore due to the high cost. |
