Re: Famous ancestors?
I forgot that I am related to Frankie Silver by way of Marriage to Charlie. The last woman to be hanged in NC. She supposedly chopped up her husband Charlie with an ax after years of abuse. (that's the story the family has passed down) http://www.visitburkecounty.com/frankiesilver.htm

Re: Famous ancestors?
Some guy on my dads side was a famous Sicilian Mobster in NYC during the 1950s. We have a book about the mob and he is mentioned. Also my mom's aunts husband is the uncle of Nascar driver Rusty Wallace.

Re: Famous ancestors?
On my Mothers side David "Davy" Crockett and my cousin John Russell, John played in MLB for the Philly's and Rangers, he was the catcher that caught Nolan Ryans 6th No Hitter in 1990 when Nolan Ryan at the age of forty-three years, four months, and twelve days became the oldest pitcher in major league history to throw a no-hitter. He broke his record the following year with a 7th No Hitter (my cousin didnt catch that one)
