A-10's used to fly low and slow over my house constantly when I was growing up. They would fly out of Grissom and do all kinds of maneuvers in my area. It was the coolest thing when I was growing up. Hell it's still cool, but they haven't flown over in years though.

My new favorite 'hog pic!!

My Dad served in the Reserves stationed at Grissom AFB. We had a reserve squadron of these there. where we lived, we were in the most common flight path for the base. I loved watching these things fly in formation over the house.

Yup. My Dad was the wing historian, pencil pusher/stowaway, as he liked to call himself. He got to go on refueling missions, take pics, document activities, you know really cool stuff for a 10 year old...
