Don Kiki brown label toro. Nice but I wish I hadn't scorched my tongue with chili.

Another Hemingway Bestseller for breakfast! (Which has JUST begun to unravel on me, hooray...)
Tried a Fuente Fuente Opus X last Sunday, a fine cigar to be certain- but I was left feeling as though it didn’t live up to the hype...but then again, does anything? |

Re: What cigar did you smoke today VI?
Might be a dumb question. I’m new to cigars and I have really bad tree nut allergies like throat will close up and I’ll die. Recently I went to Havana and picked up a bunch of Siglo vi’s. I read the description and it said it had “nutty flavors” does that mean there’s actually nuts in the cigar or no. Again probably a dumb question but figured I’d ask people who know more than me about the matter.
Thanks |

There are many cigar flavor wheels that help you identify the subtle flavors you can find in cigars. You'll see on the one below that "Nuts" has it's own little section.

Re: What cigar did you smoke today VI?
Anyone able to get half those flavors out of smoking is my hero. I’m good for about 10 or so flavors.

Re: What cigar did you smoke today VI?
@ Cval definitely not a dumb question at all, if I had that kind of allergy I would be equally as concerned! But yeah, think of that as being an opportunity to taste a flavor you would otherwise never be able to taste!!
This morning (well afternoon actually) I’ve gone with a Cohiba Red Dot Churchill...been on an Aganorsa kick lately so last night had an Arsenio Oro and the night before that I had a Casa Fernandez Aganorsa Leaf...the latter tasted much much better after resting in the humidor for about a month, really incredible how much difference letting a cigar rest a while makes! |

Re: What cigar did you smoke today VI?
If I retrohale easily get half depending on which stick of the day and how strong it is. Earlier sticks and medium bodied and medium flavored seem to get me more flavors and full bodied sticks tend to mute those flavors. Floral flavors seem to elude me altogether and I am not altogether sure that is a bad thing.
