Re: Masculine Family Cars
CARS???
CARS??? How you gonna have a MASCULINE CAR?? mas-cu-line [mas-kyuh-lin] –adjective 1. pertaining to or characteristic of a man or men: masculine attire. 2. having qualities traditionally ascribed to men, as strength and boldness. Let's see here..... 4 doors - check enormous trunk space - check DVD Player - check 1500 Watt stereo - check 4 tons of steel - check 400+ Horsepower - check 700+ ft/lbs of torque - check Diesel Engine - CHECK!!! NOW WE'RE TALKING MASCULINE!!!!! |

Re: Masculine Family Cars
I knew you were good peeps Vito!!!
hey kayak_rat!!! Back seat like a 4x8....you might wanna re-check that Quote:
Awful resale value.......current bluebook on my truck is $22,910...I paid $33K in Oct 2004....that's 51 months and a depreciation of $10K....that means it depreciated a WHOPPING $196 a month over the past 4 years Gas mileage of grandpa's Lincoln........Current display on my truck shows my MPG at 17.9mpg in the city - I average 20 - 23 mpg on the highway Stopping distance of a Freightliner........(cut from www.truckinweb.com) The Dodge's brakes, which were by far class-leading around town in feel and stopping power, also turned in the best 60-0 braking distance of 138.6 feet - only 6 feet longer than the recently tested '04 Dodge Ram SRT-10, and a whopping 16 feet shorter than the GMC Sierra HD. The 30-0 braking distance with the trailer was also tops. Wow.....I'd be embarassed if I were you, kayak_rat what was it you drive again??? an OUTBACK??? Re: Masculine Family Cars
As for my Masculine family car, Sadly I have always been a truck or motorcycle owner. I cringed when the wife suggested a sedan. I just have pictures in my head of very plain looking 4 door cars with 2 car seats ect ect. But I have to say I was happy when I came home from Iraq to see the sedan/family car she picked up.

Re: Masculine Family Cars
With our first kid due at the end of June, my wife sent me out a few weeks back to start searching for my family car. She drives a gmc suv and i only have a two wheeler so she figures I need a car also just in case of an emergency. This is what I came home with. Yesterday coming home from breakfast we got pulled over because the cops said we fit the decription of the armed robbers who had just robbed a nearby store???. I think we got profiled. Needless to say the wife doesn't like my version of a family car.
