Re: anyone good at making logo's?
Do not mean to butt in here but I think I can help you.
www.lisarotenberg.com And I will trade you for a handful of decent cigars. I just finished designing the logo for a fellow forum member's cigar lounge and he sent me $250 worth of really nice cigars:

Re: anyone good at making logo's?
I am like you, Lisa, there are things that are fun, and there are things that are work. My work is FUN,
at least to me. But it wouldn't be work of I didn't expect it to put food on the table. SOMETIMES I give stuff away, but we have to be so close enough as to blur that line between work and SHITZENGIGGLES. No offense is taken I am sure. I can't eat cigars or thank you notes, lol. And times are tough all around. (PS, you hand-draw a mean steamboat, lol) |

Re: anyone good at making logo's?
I was offering to help like I did with Riverside. I see it was not appropriate.
Sorry. CB

How was it not appropriate? Greg seems to be looking at any help he can get.

Re: anyone good at making logo's?
I thought I tried to assure you that everything was cool, Lisa. Maybe I used too many words again and
confused my point. This kind of thing is an 'all-comers' endeavor. If he gets no takers, or doesn't like any of the ideas, he might be lucky to get it done for $250, you never know. The asylum is loaded to the top with people who always try to network something free before putting it out on the open market. I needed a sound card for a dino-puter last month, a guy stepped up and was kind enough to ship it to me the same day, cost me 3 cigars and a pint glass. |

Re: anyone good at making logo's?
Thank you for your reply. I charge $1000 for a corporate logo.
But if the discussion is looking for work for free, that is fine. I was looking for a BOTL trade of $250 worth of stogies. I put a lot of effort into my work. Carry on, fellow smokers and I am available if anyone needs me. Smoking a Partagas Serie D No 4 on the back porch! Cheers! CB

Re: anyone good at making logo's?
Lisa I wasn't offended, and actually was kinda timid about posting this myself. I was somewhat afraid that it would be viewed as me asking for something free, however at this time I don't have $250.00 worth of cigars I could trade. I am sure it would be well worth it as that is what you do professionally. I did know that several of the members are good at doing stuff like that and was kinda willing to trade it for ten cigars, and wasn't really expecting a professional design, not that the others are not awesome. That's whats so great about this place though, is the brothers and sisters will come through for ya, usually way above what you might have exptected.

Re: anyone good at making logo's?
Also in the beginning of this thread I stated if anyone thought I was a schmuck for posting this let me know and I would bow out.
And if ten cigars aint enough let me know that too and I'll see what I could do. Brad, those are awesome, and I kinda like Earl's too cause of it's simplicity. Is there a way to get those in Gif format. I only ask cause the silk screener said that would work better on her end. And just so you know, I did some work for her and we are going to trade out the work for 5 or 6 t-shirts so it's not like I'm getting 200 of them and selling them or nothing. I actually just thought it would be cool and look a lot better if I had something with the name on it when I go to do jobs. Thanks for all the ideas and I like them all. |

Re: anyone good at making logo's?
Also I know that I could convert the jpegs to gif using irfanview but according to the silk screener you would still lose quality, but once again I don't know much about this kinda stuff, so if you need to educate me.

Re: anyone good at making logo's?
Greg,
I worked for about 6 hours on this one. Notice the detail on the sun. I don't need any cigars. Just send me a t-shirt when you get them printed. MCS
