Re: FREE Gillette ProGlide Razor
Nice smooth shave.
I with Carlos, don't know how or if the vibration helps anything.

Re: FREE Gillette ProGlide Razor
My new favorite razor, the blades really do make a difference. The pulsing is also different, it's more vibrant and fierce compared to the old one. I've used the fusion non powered and powered and the powered one makes your skin feel much smoother and nicer so I assume that using a powered one or non powered proglide (or even on or off) would make a difference.

Re: FREE Gillette ProGlide Razor
I got one of these at my local BJ's Wholesale Club a few weeks before the official release. The new razor is a huge improvement over the original Fuzion IMO. The blades last longer and cut better.

Re: FREE Gillette ProGlide Razor
Got mine and I agree it is a great shave. The blade its self cuts better and as far as the vibration it just seems to numb the skin making it feel like an even smoother shave. I think the key to the blade may be the little comb because it truly seems to cut well in any direction.

Re: FREE Gillette ProGlide Razor
Got mine on saturday and tried it side by side with my Fusion. New blades in both and the Fusion definately pulls the hair more (in a bad way). With the ProGlide it didn't even feel like it was cutting the hair, but left behind nice smooth skin.
It also seemed like cut hairs didn't get trapped in the corners of the blades on the proGlide as easily as they do on the fusion. With the fusion, I shave in 2 minutes and spend 5 minutes just cleaning the blades afterword. With the ProGlide, just shaking it in the water got rid of 95% of them. A+ from me. |

Re: FREE Gillette ProGlide Razor
I'm going to have to see if the vendor I went through can get his hands on some ProGlide blades now and send those out to the fellas deployed.

Re: FREE Gillette ProGlide Razor
Checked with the vendor and he told me he is no able to get the ProGLides yet since they are ridiculously expensive (seems about right since it's a new product).

Re: FREE Gillette ProGlide Razor
Just saw them at my local supermarket.
Mad money. The razor is $12. The refills are $15 for 4.

The price is a breaking point for me. While it provides the most comfortable shave I recall ever, I can handle a bit less comfort and save a considerable amount by using alternative blades. Not to mention I am still confused over the whole vibrating thing. If the price drops, I may eventually consider buying them.

Re: FREE Gillette ProGlide Razor
The vibrating, or pulsing motion as they prefer it to be called, does not really make sense to me either. Though I know what it was designed for it doesn't attract me to the razor one bit.
The micro-pulsing was designed to help lift the hair out of the skin allowing the blade to cut more of it. |
