Went and shot the sporting clays course today with the new shotgun. Worked like crap. No way my aim is that bad. Actually, it performed really, really good. I'm hooked. Stopped by a local store afterwards and was able to score 10 boxes of shells for $5.50/box.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Nice! I just found out there's a pistol/archery/black powder and rifle range in my area with upto 600yard lanes and clays too . I'm not even close to having all my paets for the ar and now I want a shotgun too... I thought the cigar slope was slippery. This is no slope.. more like a cliff.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
First round of brass tumbling ever is done! Is it ok if the marks on the inside of the case at the very bottom where the primer sits are still there? Inside and outside case walls are clean and shiny.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Love that gun.
One thing I would like to point out that may or may not be a problem, depending on how you intend to carry. I am a fan of the Gen 4 as like the subtle changes on my 21 from the Gen 3. However, when I was shopping for a concealed .40 (changed my mind and ended up with a Shield 9), I was bent on getting the 27 until the salesman asked me to try to conceal it. When I did, I realized what he was trying to point out is how that Gen 4 grip irritates the crap out of your skin as those little grip bumps rub on your skin. Within seconds, I had an annoying rash. May or may not be a problem for you but thought I would give you a heads up. However, regardless, awesome gun and congrats!

This was my dads, he gave it to me shortly before passing away. He loved this gun. I just got it back from the gunsmith, I lost a part when I took it apart to clean it. Colt .357 Peacekeeper, going to shoot with it this weekend if the weather is fit.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
For a brand new Gen 4?
Where would that be? That is too good to pass up. Upwards of $500 even online.
