You roasted this 3 days ago, that shouldn't be the case. It might not be blow you away, but it should be decent for 4-6 days anyways

Oh yah for some reason I was thinking it was closer to 10 days old, I must be getting old. Not sure why this batch tastes so bad. Maybe because it is so cold now in the garage where I roast?

First shot from this roast but not from the bag of greens.
You know what though I don't think this bean ever made a great tasting shot though.
I bet I am just used to the Peruvian I have been using and it is better for an espresso than this other stuff.
It made a good FP but not an espresso, I guess I should look for another bean since I don't really drink FP anymore.
Sucks because I have about 4 pounds of it left.

Appears to be especially blended for espresso. Prolly you should try a couple different roast profiles before giving up on it.

Yah, that is why I bought it in the beginning. I spoke to Thetta about what they would reccomend and they said they are just ditributers and wouldn't know about espresso. The description is what I went with though.

You make a valid point, I will try it roasted a bit more and see how it goes.
Thanks for the encouragment

Sounds like it may perform better with a bit lighter roast.

38 in the garage this morning. The Coffee Kinetics, propane powered roaster, fired right up. Did a pound of Nicaragua Finca La Tormenta to FC. Seemed to take a bit longer to roast than normal, but maybe was just standing out there, in the cold garage, with no coat on Cupping tomorrow, from SM.
