Re: First Firearm Thread.
I had similar issue a few years ago with one of thse reduced power spring kits running Guatemalan 5.56, so I prolly would have blamed the ammo rather then check my spring installation lol

Did you buy the fail zero BCG from fail zero, or on the secondary market? Auto or semi carrier?

Re: First Firearm Thread.
gah, I love multiple levels of incompetence...
Called UPS a few weeks ago, spoke to a guy in the haz mat department. Got all the specifics for how to ship ammo. Certain box strength, level, etc. Then take it to a UPS service center (hub). Took it to the hub today. "oh no, we can't take that here" .... "try taking it to the gun store down the street, they have the right account for that." took it to the gun store, talked to the owner. "just take it to the post office, and don't tell them what it is. There's not restrictions on shipping ammo anyway. Guns yes, but ammo no." bloody frickin incompetent lot of em... So my choices are down to A) Flat rate box at the post office. B) Take it to the UPS stare, call it precision machine parts, and call it a day. C) Sign up for a Hazmat business account with UPS and pay $10/week (required) for a weekly scheduled pickup at my house. Leaning towards B...

Re: First Firearm Thread.
UPS hub is the right choice. Next time ask for a manager as the person you talked to is an Idiot.
It's illegal to ship ammo USPS. Here http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_133/3...ed_States.html |

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Fine.. I'll go back to the customer service center tomorrow... And if they still don't take it, I'm driving 3 blocks down the street to the ups store, pulling off the ORM-D label and handing it to them.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Thanks, they kept pushing back the in-stock date, I thought my order was going to end up cancelled.Glad I waited as I paid MSRP on these, they were selling for double that at the gun show Sunday.

I read you may need to clean the stock or fitting up a bit for perfect fit. |

I have the Tapco stock already, so the Tapco mags are just plug and play.
