I couldn't taste 90 minute IPA after Pliny, and the Pliny and 120 minute both held up to each other hop wise, meaning I could go back and forth and still taste each beer fine. That should give you an idea of how hoppy it is. |

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Pliny is a wonderful DIPA. Slightly bitter, VERY piney, evergreen like taste. Great mouthfeel and a long finish. Surprisingly flavorful even real cold. I like to pour cold and drink slow so it warms by the end. Then repeat.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
I picked up a bottle of Pliny a couple weeks ago. I'm an IPA addict. It lives up to the hype without question. As close to perfect as I've had. My only complain was the head retention, but that was just a single bottle, so who knows. Flavor and balance were exactly what I would want.
I need more. |

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
I just picked up a bottle of Ommegang's chocolate indulgence. When I mentioned it to a pal he said he preferred the Brooklyn BCS. Have you had both of them? If so what do you think?

Good to hear. Right now I am thinking of holding onto it until I can dig up a brooklyn BCS, but that resolve will probably break down tomorrow night.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Last night shared a BORIS and a Barrel Aged BORIS with a couple of buds over smokes the regular was good but we messed up by opening the Barrel Aged first. Still an awesome experience but all are in a agreement to stick with the barrel age

Only considering the Brooklyn's, it's super drinkable for me. Stout's are currently my favorite style, but I typically find them to be too filling to be close to a session beer and still find it excellent. Brooklyn's Black Chocolate Stout, session beer? Maybe. |
