Re: What cigar did you smoke today V?
Been off NCs for a while but in the US of A for a family trip and visited some local B&Ms. Had a nice Ashton ESG and one I hadn't heard of but was quite good, Dona Flor Selecao.

Looking tasty there, Dave. Really like that stick.
Decided on a fresh local pilsner and a CI I hadn't tried that came in a sampler. Stick was all right. I've never been big on Camacho so I wasn't expecting much. The only CI Legend I've really enjoyed was the Red so far. |

MOW Skull Breaker. Advertised as their strongest blend. I would compare it to a Diesel in strength. But has fantastic flavors.

My first Quesada Octoberfest. Thanks Kevin (maninblack) for hooking me up in the NC MAW thread. It was a great cigar!

Re: What cigar did you smoke today V?
Topper Extra Oscuro- great aroma, light to medium (I thought it was going to be med-full) and a tight draw. For 2$ I'll try another one, they are in every B&M here in Ct.

Re: What cigar did you smoke today V?
Thanks Jake! It had been awhile since I had one. Burned real solid until inexplicably it went real south in the last third and I had to pitch it. No worries, as it gave me the opportunity for a palate cleanse by nubbing a first gen Aurora 100 Anos.
Incidentally, I grew up in your neck of the woods, Stonington to be exact. Haven't been back in a few years but my brother in law is opening a brewery up in Vernon in a few months, so I'm hoping to make the trip back for the launch. Have to look into those Toppers while I'm there! |
