Well, get to cookin!

Just fired up the grill for the first time this year. Grass fed beef burgers, a couple slices of a really nutty Gouda, some carmelized portobello and onion, lettuce and a bit of Lee & Perrins steak sauce. Damn that was good. Glad I have two more.

A home-brewed stout, a molasses cookie and my famous 4-4-4 omelette. Followed up by a smooth, medium strength NC. Enjoying cool shade, blue skies and a light breeze in the backyard, looking over my newly reseeded green lawn.

Chicken sausage with onions, Anaheim chiles, mushrooms, tomatoes and artichoke hearts. Deglazed the pan with a little Marsala.

Basil, tomatoes and oregano from our garden, and wild hog sausage from a little piggie that wasn't quite quick enough. YUM-YUM!

Resurrecting a forgotten (but delicious) thread.

A friend gave us a bunch of homegrown heirloom tomatoes. Making tomato sauce from scratch today. Gonna mix in some of my homemade Italian sausage. This afternoon, a loaf of freshly made Italian bread and crack open a bottle of red wine.

Gonna be a good day.

My first attempt at home made beef stew. Using a crock pot slow cooker made it really easy.
