Alice Cooper- Levity Ball
Back in my youth, listening to this with headphones on and influenced by "mind enhancing products" was one of my all time fav's.

Totally agree, but slight correction - Not Velvet Underground.
The one you're thinking of is from Lou Reed "Rock 'N Roll Animal",
live from NYC in 1973, with Dick Wagner playing magnificently on
lead guitar. Wagner is a most underrated guitarist, but as any fan
of early Alice Cooper knows, he has some serious chops.

OK, carry on.......

Guns N' Roses - "Welcome to the Jungle"

Phil Collins - "In the Air Tonight" (drum solo later is also special to me)

Earth, Wind and Fire - "Boogie Wonderland"

Steve Miller Band - "Fly Like an Eagle"

Ok... so I'm eclectic.

Right you are! And I totally agree about Wagner being one of the most underrated guitar players. Saw him with AC back in the 70's. Amazing.

Classic.

If you like eclectic EW&F, "Serpentine Fire" is kinda cool, Joe.

Sweet Jane- Lou Reed live
Green Grass and High Tides- Outlaws- the whole long version is just one long jam, basically.
Smoke on the Water- Deep Purple

Thomas- you and I have similar tastes- I LOVE UFO and very few have heard of this great band!

We do, I also picked GG&HT as one of the best in my first go-round, Hugh.

If you have heard the live UFO album, "Strangers in the Night"...I was at that show, it was awesome.

For all those who listed Eagles songs, let me propose as an alternative:

Funk #49 - James Gang

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_J4pADDMZs

There's a classic intro from Joe Walsh, before he joined the Eagles . . . and forgot how to kick @$$.
