Im with everyone else, theyll be fine I actually prefer the high 50's, low 60's. Been keeping my coolers there for years and have had no problems. There's an interesting interview somewhere with a rep from Hunter and Frankau where he explains he ages his cigars (long term) in the mid 50's and then brings them up a little higher before he smokes them. I'll see if I can find it.

You should change your batteries at least every six months... I change mine every few months.

Its easy to remember to change the batteries if you do it when you adjust for Daylight Savings Time.

Change your batteries, make sure the hygros are calibrated, and Im almost certain youll find that your cigars are right where you want them.

Or...

Get beads. Spritz them once a week or so. Sell your hygrometers.

Use the time you save, smoking an extra cigar or two.

I had the same issue with my office humidor. When I purchased it, I just used a small amount of beads, and put distilled water in a bowl, etc. It never seemed to want to hold humidity, lid did not even seem to close that snug.

A month ago I purchased a few of the Boveda humidor seasoning packets (85% humidity), and put those in for a week. The humidor is working perfectly now, and the lid even closes tighter.

Just a thought.
