Re: Smokin' in the winter
I smoke inside even though I live in sunny, single-season California weather.

Re: Smokin' in the winter
Last winter, girlfriend (SOTL) and I ran two electric space heaters on the back deck - one on either side of us. Not great, but as long as there was little wind, it worked pretty well. Looking into an propane patio heater this year - table-top version might be sufficient.

Another guy in the tropics here. I'll probably put the fire pit where the coffee table is outside, and light up out there. Puts out good heat.

Re: Smokin' in the winter
I switch to mostly petit coronas or try to find a place to smoke inside.

I smoke a lot less in the cold months of Wisconsin. I have a good friend that I with who is "allowed" to smoke in doors. The local shops with lounges see a lot more of me as well.

Re: Smokin' in the winter
I guess one of the few benefits of living in Phoenix is that I don't have any problems smoking outside during the winter. It get's chilly, but not that bad.

Re: Smokin' in the winter
I don't think a firepit would do much good on my deck in the winter.
I'm lucky enough to have a heated & ventilated sunroom we use for smoking in the winter. Sadly, I'm primarily a social smoker. Although I am in the market for a flat panel TV for that room. Who knows; after that I might just become one of those anti-social leave me alone smokers.

Re: Smokin' in the winter
We had some people over the night before. There was a small amount of snow on the deck. We put the beer out there to keep cold. The next morning what was left was buried.

Not in Florida unfortunately
That was taken in the winter of 2010 when even the Keys felt the Bite of the Arctic. It was flipping cold in N. Fl. where I am!

Re: Smokin' in the winter
Yeah that would be perfect for right about now when it's not too cold and not a whole lot of snow. What temp can it go down to before you are uncomfortable sitting in front of the heater?
