Word! Empire Cigars (Formerly Capital City) in Raleigh is a great cigar shop.
I really enjoy Corona Cigars in Orlando when I am down there. Top notch!

Re: Favorite B&M?
I will concur that Empire is a great B&M with respect to events, atmosphere and selection. For box purchases (that I don't buy online), I shop at Smoker's Palace in Wilson, NC. Many times, I can buy a box there (and pay the taxes) cheaper than buying online. They have a great selection (although not the same as Empire) and friendly staff.

My favorite for sheer size and comfort in my area is 2 Guys Smoke Shop.
For the best selection for all things Pete Johnson, I go to Twins Smoke Shop. |

My all time favorite is "The Humidor" in Redlands, Ca. Great selection, top notch staff, and the "regulars" are all good friends of mine. I love it there.

Re: Favorite B&M?
My favorite, without question, is Leaf & Ale in Knoxville, TN. I think Mike posts on here sometimes. I travel for work, and this is my home when I am in E. TN. They have a great selection, and the staff is very welcoming. I joined their connoiseur's club, even though I live over 4 hours away. Great store.
Others I usually visit while traveling: Old VA Tobacco Co, Richmond Burns Tobacconists, Chattanooga |

I wish I could get out to Tennessee just once to visit with Mike. I've talked to him on the phone a few times, and have ordered from him frequently, and he is one great BOTL!

Re: Favorite B&M?
In Boston, the best IMHO is L J Peretti. An old school place, the owners are *tight* with the Fuentes, and they have a phenomenal selection. You can't compare Massachusetts B&M prices with the online vendors because of the 25% excise tax, but when you want to find a cigar, Peretti will usually have it. The space is small and there isn't a smoking lounge, but there are a couple of chairs if you want to sit back and enjoy your purchase.
Next best is Gloucester Street Cigar. They've got a great selection, too. A couple of chairs, but no lounge. CigarMasters has a big selection and a nice lounge, but the prices are extra high and there's a fair bit of attitude. My favorite hangout is Churchill's Lounge, near Quincy Market. Selection is mediocre, but you can bring and smoke your own without any hassle, frowns, or lighting fee. It's a really comfortable place with a very friendly staff and great atmosphere. I try to get there a few times a week.

Re: Favorite B&M?
When my travels take me north from Boston, I try to stop by Two Guys Smoke Shop in Salem and Nashua, NH. Huge selection, with prices that are much better than in Boston because of the lower NH taxes. The staff is very knowledgeable, too.

Re: Favorite B&M?
I'm fortunate that within a 20 minute drive of my house are a number of good B&M's, Some with humongous walk-in humidors, and large selections, including a couple of Churchill's, a chain called Smoker's Outlet with 10 different locations, and the home office of CigarFox.com, Cigar Factory Outlet. We even have a JR's store not far away.
But my favorite, when I'm in the mood to just sit and smoke a stick or two, it's ViBratto Premium Cigars, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. But the atmosphere just seems friendlier to me. I'm greeted as a friend, not a customer whenever I go in. There are monthly events, and there's a lot of regulars that stop in often. It's a great place to run into a friend and talk, watch the game, and relax. This is my alternate "man-cave"
