I tried a few beers by Stone last night and wasn't impressed. I tried the Stone IPA and the Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale.

A couple days ago, we picked up a pack of mixed Widmer Bros brews. Had the Hefeweizen. Found it to be very tasty and clean and refreshing after a 6 mile run.

Tasty beers there.

Most definitely shared. Too good not to, even if I was alone I probably wouldn't finish one of any of these on my own.

Had Goose Island Bourbon County Coffee Stout and Founders Devil Dancer the other night. I will probably pair a regular Bourbon County Stout or a Stone Imperial Stout with a Partagas Black Maximo tonight.

Just had the same coffee stout a very good brother shared with us a my local as well. Very good, same Bourbon County goodness with some great coffee finish.

How do you like the Stone Imperial Stout? and what would you compare it to? Does it have that same great texture as the Goose Island?

Yes the GI BCCS is awesome. I'm going to age one for sure. The regular Bourbon County is very good, but aged it is awesome. It has been a long time since I've had the Stone, but it is awesome. I had a bourbon barrel version of it on tap once - amazing.
