Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Last night I had a pint of Speakeasy Collaborative Double Blonde ale, on draft at Capital Ale House. It was more like a Belgian than a blonde ale, but holy crap that was some good beer!

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Brewed to celebrate Ben's 300th birthday. Whether Ben Franklin ever said, "Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy" is up for debate. Some say he said it, others say he didn't. No one knows for sure. Historical facts or fictions aside, Yards Brewing Company has recreated Poor Richard's Tavern Spruce Ale™ to celebrate Franklin's affinity for fine ales. Poor Richard's Tavern Spruce Ale is based on Franklin's original recipe, which called for spruce essence and molasses, as barley and hops were not readily available at the time. Enjoy a taste of history courtesy of Yards Brewing Company, Philadelphia's premier brewer and bottler. ABV 5.0%

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
The latest one I had was a New Belgium Ranger IPA. Being that NB hasn't had an IPA ever to my knowledge before this one I'm really quite impressed. It's no Hercules DIPA, but it's damn good.

Limited as Nemesis and KBS from what I gather. I left my store with 20 4-packs. At $21 each, I don't see them flying off the shelf.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Yes, yes you do.
It officially just became cold enough to crack one and it is pretty damned good. Just a touch more bitter than I normally go for at 112IBU, but the flavor overcomes it. No bitter aftertaste at all with a very smooth floral finish. Surprisingly sweet too. This may sound weird, but it kinda tastes like a Party 898. I can see myself drinking four in a sitting very easily.

Well there are so many; Fat Tire, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Red Tail Ale, to name a few. Right now, I would be happy for a Coors Light. In Afghanistan for another 9 Months. We are not able to drink at all. I will read how good the beer is from all of you.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
I discussed this topic with my German friends here. They swear by their German beer. I am very partial with US micro brew. What do you think?

As far as micro brew v. German, there are great beers in both worlds I just see the craft beer world as more adventuresome and having more options. |

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
I've had a great micro brew and I've had a horrible micro brew. There a a lot of breweries that I only like one or two beers from there are others that I like everything they make. I've had some interesting German beers I liked in the past and really like a good Belgium's!
I don't care where it's from just as long as it's good!
