I don't have an answer for you; but this reminds me of my favorite weightlifting quotation. In an interview, Ed Coan was asked, "YOU DON'T TRAIN MUSCLES LIKE BICEPS?"

And his response was, "Nope, biceps are like ornaments on a xmas tree."

I dont train biceps that often, but when I do I only superset stuff together. I get extreme pump. This is good because I can spend more time on the muscles that count!

I'd try negative reps. Get on the preacher curl machine, and do single-arm negative curls. When you get to the bottom, use both arms to bring the weight back up. It should only take 3-5 reps per arm.

I thought you are supposed to train bis every day and then look in the mirror and flex after each set?

I also only superset when I do bis

Time to go cold turkey on all forms of caffine and 2-3 grams of taurine spread out through out the day

Funniest thing I've seen in the gym in a while was a couple of guys -- good friends (you could tell) working out together. They were doing only bicep workouts ... all on the preacher bench ... all with a cambered curl bar. They were *soooo into* those reps (with 65lbs total, including the bar), they just kept shouting at one another "light weight," "one more," "just a peanut." It was all in front of a mirror. All I could do to stop myself from laughing was to push through extra reps of stiff-legged deads until I couldn't stand.

**not that there's anything wrong with working biceps; but it was the totality of that scene (and their repeated quotation of Ronnie Coleman in a manner not accurately reflecting the irony of Ronnie's original utterances) that cracked my ass up.

I like to refer to them as beach muscles, curls for the gurls etc...I know plenty of guys who look better than I do with a shirt off, but they are all show no go...For what I am doing now I am much more focused on being able to use functional strength

Just depends on what your goals are
