Storm of Swords - George R.R. Martin. Third book in the Song of Ice and Fire series. Basically the Game of Thrones series. Really good stuff.

The Martian by Andy Weir and R. C. Bray
I have to say I was surprised at how good this book was. I could not put it down. The writing had a nice blend of technical details, plot, story and humor. I highly recommend it!

Re: What are you reading?
The Remnant by William Giles. It's a apocolyptic fiction novel that had me hooked in the first chapter. Written by a local author and professionally printed by our company, one of the best independently published books I've seen. It is available on Amazon as an ebook or the author will sell direct.

The sequel to Wired is Amped, looks like I'll read that. Right before The Martian I read Diamond Age - Neal Stephenson. Loved it. If you haven't read Snow Crash, you should check out the sample. Great book. I wish he wrote more sci-fi, but he only has one other title in that genre and it sounds sucky.

Re: What are you reading?
The Human Division -John Scalzi is done now, Michael. It was one of those "chapter a week for $.99 each" deals they do. I'm pretty certain it's based on the Old Man's War series, which was EXCELLENT.
It's ready on the 14th of May, all collated into one book for $12.99. Here's a link so you can check it out. http://www.amazon.com/The-Human-Divi...I2FG3OMUVD0EU8 Here's a link to Scalzi's page at Amazon... http://www.amazon.com/John-Scalzi/e/...751&sr=1-2-ent (Sorry for not hyper linking. It's hell on my iPad.)

Ender's Shadow. It's Ender's Game but Bean's view. Pretty cool idea and works really well, if you liked Ender's Game you'll really enjoy this.
