I had my first a couple weekends ago too and agree that I'll have to keep some on hand when the warmer weather comes back. Very refreshing and reasonably priced.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Went on a road trip into MA today to try to score some things I can't get in NY.
Picked up a growler of Opa Opa Raspberry Wheat while near the brewery there. We have a contender for the ResIpsa Beer o' the Summer award, |

Had a Dogfish head Indian Brown Ale. I've really been digging this stuff lately.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Scored some Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary Fritz and Ken Ale .
this stuff is outstanding....The bottle presentation is beautiful and it is one of the best stouts that I've ever had the pleasure of drinking. Shared a bottle last night with some friends, and it blew us all away. http://www.sierra30.com/#/fritz-and-ken-s-ale It's the first release of four 30th anniversary brews.

This?
I love massive Stouts, but if you had this, judging by your comments, I would think you would think differently. If I recall it was a fairly thick beer with significant bourbon flavor. It is 11.6% abv. I'm aging the other bottles I have. |

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
If you've ever been to the DFH brewery in DE, this beer has it's very own fermenting vat made out of palo santo wood. Very aromatic, and very very dense wood--the beer actually smells like the wood it's fermented in. I have a picture of the vat around somewhere, I'll try to find & post it.

Had a Lagunitas Maximus earlier, drinking a Founders Imperial Stout now. I think I need to make a road trip to Grand Rapids, MI to pay hommage to Founders.

But as for beers, I know this will probably be blasphemy, but I have been actually enjoying: 21st Amendment Brew Free or Die IPA in a .....GASP... CAN. Its no DFH 90min. or Green Flash WCIPA but still, 9.00 bucks for a 6'er, damn fine sessionable IPA IMO and if you haven't tried it and dig moderate strength hopiness (7.0 %abv) then its def. worth a go. Its amazing opening a can of beer and no matter how many times I open on (5 thus far) I can't ever get over the fact that it doesn't smell like Coors or Miller Lite.
