Anyone participate in political discussion forums?

I applaud the bosses here for NOT allowing political debate at CA. I won't name names, but other boards that I frequent have political discussion forums, and the discussions get downright nasty. The political section at the Panthers site pretty much is hardcore left vs. hardcore right, yet the entire section is a trash Glenn Beck site. Liberals think he is a nutjob and so do conservatives. It's kind of hard to have a serious political discussion when 90% of the discussions have to do with Glenn Beck.
