Really?
Skywalker and I both tried to drink that last summer and the stuff was unpalatable. He accredits throwing up in my yard to that stuff. How would you describe it's flavor and texture, I'd like to compare it to my memory. |

This is really well balanced between the malt and the hops. Tastes almost like vermont maply syrupy to me, with hops, floral and citrus. Certainly brown sugar, although I get more of a belgian candy taste. Malty. As good as the DFH Palo Santo I had the other night? No. But good nevertheless. As to the throwing up....he knows this **** is 10% ABV right? Not a beer to be tossing back, ![]() |

Hey, that shouldn't suprise anyone. If Skywalker doesn't drink Sierra Nevada, his system gets all goofy.
![]() I also like Brown Shugga, although to me it's a "one and done" type of beer. Not one I'm going to session. I'm drinking a Sierra Nevada Bigfoot now, had a Sam Adams Cream Stout earlier.

Flying Dog Raging *****.
This is the beer banned in N.H. because they don't like the name, ![]() Outstanding. Simply outstanding. Flying Dog is giving DFH a run for my money as my favorites brewers ![]() |

Found a bomber of Southern Tier Krampus on my shelf in the garage, where I store beer in the winter. I forgot I had this, and it was mixed in with some Belgian bombers I'm aging. It's an Imperial Helles Lager. It's good - rich, tasty, and a bit of an oily texture - but "Imperial" lager is not something I guess I really understand. To me lagers are supposed to be refreshing, and this seems sort of heavy.

The neighbors downstairs moved out and abandoned a 6-pack of some Mexican beer in the fridge, so I yoinked it. Bohemía it's called. Knocking down number 4 right now; very, very good dark beer.

the CZAR!
wow- I have yet to find a beer DARKER than this *if possible* Not necessarily a rich beer, but a mighty stout with quite an alcoholic Kick! Going down very smooth, which might not end so well on my part, But after workin a 12 day stretch from leaving my past job and getting up to par at my new place of employment, this does DAMN well to take the edge off ![]() Cheers!!! |
