				 | New Racecar paint scheme

Last season, we had a big wreck at our track and there were a couple of red cars involved in it. My wife freaked out and made me promise to repaint the racecar for this season because there were too many red racecars at our track. I decided to go with an "old-school" sprint car style. That's what I spent today working on. It's an off-white base color called almond. I went with a traditional number style from 40s sprint cars with engine turned gold leaf numbers. Here's a sneak peek: This is what it looked like last season. (The pink paint scheme was to commemorate breast cancer awareness month): My wife and I worked on it today and Sr Mike (Cigar Asylum Member and HERF Buddy of mine) stopped by to lend moral support. I plan on adding some flames to the scheme and I'm pretty stoked about how it looks so far. I'll keep adding updates. |

I love the engine turned detailing! We do it to some of our machined parts when called for.
