Cigar cases - which one?
hello guys,
I'm thinking of picking up a 2-3 cigar case for the times that i'm travelling. Is there one that you would recommend? I figure an all leather one would be good as I can carry it on my body and still go through the metal detectors. This is more for convenience. I know some of the Xikar one has a metal cap, and was also wondering if that would set the detectors off. Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated it. |

Re: Cigar cases - which one?
I have a leather one (3 fingers) that I use for every day transportation. Then I have a waterproof cigar caddy for when I'm fishing...that way I don't destroy my sticks when I inevitably drop them in the drink.

Re: Cigar cases - which one?
I've looked at the Craftsman's Bench robusto case a few times. Seems well made and is spanish cedar lined. It just seems a little bulky to stuff in my pockets so I haven't bought it yet.
Also received a cigar flask from my buddy's wedding. Although size limited, it carries the essentials. |

X2 I have several everyday type cases, but I'm talking with Stitch about making one for me right now. They look great and come in many sizes and options including personal touches. Can't beat it.

Re: Cigar cases - which one?
Does it matter if these aren't cedar wood lined? Would a cigar be okay if it was in one of these for a few days?

As long as they aren't kept in excessive heat, they will be fine for a few days.

Re: Cigar cases - which one?
Agreed. I have one of these and they are great! The way these cases are shaped along with the wood top and cedar lining makes the case much sturdier. This is the perfect case for a jacket pocket.
Having said that, if there is any possibility that the case might get squished (even a little) I would go with a hard case like a small cigar caddy or the like.

Re: Cigar cases - which one?
I have the 3 finger case from Cuban crafters. I would have gone with Stitch's case had I known prior to buying the one I have now.
