Default Odd/Rare Opus X cigars

I was looking around on Vitolas at some of the pictures from the Fuente Factory tour. Saw all those strange Opus X cigars, with the spiraled wrappers, culebras, and unique shapes. Are all these one of a kinds, or were they ever released in any quantity? I know of the footballs, only a hand full were released. Says under the picture that some of them may be auctioned or given away. I'd also hate to know what any of them would cost. Anybody ever had of of these? For those they may not have seen them, here's some direct links to the pictures of the cigars in question.

I've always wanted to smoke one of those footballs, but don't think I ever actually will. I've heard that when they're auctioned for charity, they've gone for $500+, though don't remember the figure specifically.

I have seen that picture a couple of times and it always strikes me how poorly cared for they look. They are all dusty and the humidor has a big stain on the lid. I kind of looks like they were just rolled as experiments and thrown in the corner. Not to say that is the case it is just what it looks like to me.

I was lucky enough to tour the factory and saw them in person. They truly are amazing works of art. Carlito is a close friend of Dan Marino and donated a box of footballs for his charity auction. If I recall the box sold for $40k.

Good pictures. I believe that some of those cigars are trials by the rollers that are attempting new techniques or styles or whatever, never to be released in any form.

The plume looks great on the walls and boxes too. Funny how some of the plume seems to only be forming on top of some of the cigars.

I always enjoy going through Moki's site and looking at all of the rare cigars.

The pictures from the Fuente factory, especially their "vault" are amazing.

Wow! Those are outstanding pieces of art. Though these unique looking smokes are truly one of a kind, I have to agree that they look sort of old and dusty! A nice fresh one would be more than ideal I'm thinking with all the different oils and types of tobaccos mending together in the humidor

Happy smokin' eh?
