I have heard many analysts on NHL on XM discuss the 3-2-1 system for points. I must say, I like that idea better than the current system. And regarding the concern about sitance for teams that win in regulation...well, that's the point...maybe they should be rewarded for doing that.

I like the 3-2-1 points.. A little adjustment though, why not in the SO only reward the winning team? So do 3pts to regulation win, 2 pts OT/SO win and only 1 point if they lose in OT not the SO..

Go to a %, Like the scoring in Basketball Do not reward the looser.
But still keep the same format with OT and Shootout no more points for making the OT. Win or Go home just my
