Andy:
If you want a pretty decent Chicago deep dish, delivered to your place, I'd recommend: http://www.giordanos.com/ While not my absolute favorite, still a good pie, and friends who have moved away have always appreciated when I have shipped them one of these. |

I live in NY and there are plenty of half decent pizza placed around that are good. I had Dominios moons ago and gave me heartburn. I used to love pizza hut, but that stuff is all grease. Uno's is the a chain place that has some good pie.

I had some of dominoes new medium pies the others night. Nothing spectacular in my opinion, and I couldn't remember what their old stuff is like.
I prefer papa john's over dominoes in terms of pizza chains. Just my opinion.

Having lived in Jersey all my life, I've had lots of great pizza, especially down the Shore and at a number of spots in North Jersey.
At least to me, the chains are all overloaded with dough and cheap sauce that tastes like over-sweetened catsup. The toppings are more like decorations than real food. About the only one I've somewhat enjoyed has been Uno's back in the day. I look for a spicy sauce with strong pepperoni, sausage, and thin cut black olives that are fresh. The California pizzas, at least for me, need to stay there. ![]() Currently the best local joint by me in South Brunswick is Giuseppe's. Another place is Attilio's Pizza & Restaurant in North Brunswick along Rte. 1S. I think I'll have to stop by Giuseppe's for lunch tomorrow.

I liked Domino's new one...if you're gonna have pizza chain pizza, I think it's better than Pizza Hut and Papa John's...

Prefer the local joints in Chicago to the chains, but in a pinch, have resorted to the new domino's pizza. Not disappointed at all, think they've lived up to their campaign. Definitely the best of the chains. Still pales in comparison to any corner pizza shop in NYC!

I have tried Domino's in the past but found it lacking so we have been going with Godfather's -- especially because they deliver. If we are going to pick it up then we will probably ge Nona Emilia (local to Beaverton, Oregon).
I will have to give Domino's a shot again...

I like Domino's thin crust. It beats any other chain hands down, but anything other than thin, I'll order from someone else. Oh, and I have tried the new ingredients and they are better.
I'd like to add, I miss little caesars. Last edited by andrew; 03-05-2010 at 06:43 PM. |

Was assistant mgr at Little Caesars back in the day. They used to have okay pizza when they had the square Pizza Pizza (buy one get one free) to compete with Domino's 30 mins or less campaign. Sometime in the 90's they stopped the free pizza pizza thing and changed their entire pizza to a cheaper round version.
Around here, we still have a few but they have been reduced to walk in stores with pre-made pizzas for 5 bucks a piece. HORRIBLE STUFF!
