You could always try sinus irrigation. The idea is to simply wash out the allergen via a salt water solution. The thought of shooting water up one nostril and down the other was rather gross when I first considered it, but I was amazed at how well it works.
I used to have a lot of sinus trouble between summer & fall and winter & spring as the pollen was out in full force. Since I've started using a Sinus Rinse Kit I've been able to ditch the prescription allergy meds I was taking and I'm left with mild allergy symptoms. Its not a given that it will get you back in cigar smoking shape, but it might be worth a shot. |

Nasal irrigation is the way to go! I used to have really bad sinus issues, especially after smoking cigars. Then I started flushing out my sinuses with warm water and this solution using a water pick (the thing that you're supposed to use for your teeth). You could also use a Neti Pot. Either way, it helps to rinse out all the bad stuff that can accumulate in your sinuses.

I love my Neti Pot. Maybe it's just my poor/pour technique, but I can only do it right before a shower since it tends to run down my chest. Yuck, but man can I breath easy after a good nasal douche.
